Electrons

The current, simple model of an atom is that it is a nucleus comprised of Protons and Neutrons and this nucleus is surrounded by Electrons.

We speak of the electrons as being in orbits around the nucleus, and we might call this a planetary model. It differs from a solar system, though, in that an orbit can have several electrons in it.
