Epistemology is the study of knowledge, more specifically the methods, validity and scope of knowledge.
Epistemology is an element of a set that also includes Logic, Ethics and Metaphysics.
Episemology attempts to answer questions such as the following:
- What do we know?
- How do we know when we know something?
- What does it take to justify a belief?
