Kronecker Delta

The Kronecker Delta is a function that takes two variables. If they are the same, the function returns a value of 1. If they are not the same the function returns a value of 0.

  • i=j \leftrightarrow \delta_{ij} = 1
  • i \neq j \leftrightarrow \delta_{ij} = 0
