Physics is the study of matter and energy. These topics will receive the majority of our attention.
A few other topics are taught in physics courses, such as sound and light. These will receive some study time, but be considered as “bonus features” suitable for providing extra credit.
Upon completion of the Physics course, a student will be comfortable discussing and solving math problems related to the following areas:
- Vectors
- Kinematic Equations
- Force
- Friction
- Pulleys
- Inclined Planes
- Potential Energy
- Kinetic Energy
- Coulomb’s Law
- Circuits
- Fields (easier problems)
A special Culmination Project is available. Students will show that Algebra can build a bridge between the Kinematics Equations and the Energy Equations.
