Quarks

• Up quarks have a charge of 2/3
• Down quarks have a charge of -1/3

There are six types of quarks, and they are often represented by a single letter designation:

1. u- up
2. d- down
3. c- charm
4. s- strange
5. t- top
6. b- bottom
