Specific Heat

Specific Heat is a constant that relates heat added to an object to the temperature change and mass is also involved.

  • Q = heat added
  • c = specific heat
  • m = mass
  • \Delta T

Q = c m \Delta T

c = \dfrac {Q} {m \Delta T}

This may be one of the first problems where you want to make certain you have the units memorized so you can make sure your units work out in your calculation.
